By donating blood, you can save three human lives. You can help someone who
truly needs it — and even help yourself by boosting regeneration and
strengthening your immunity. Join in and come donate blood!
Every year in the Czech Republic, roughly 250,000 people donate blood. However, regular donors are gradually aging, and we need more new first-time donors. To ensure a steady blood supply for everyone, transfusion departments aim to recruit about 25,000 new donors each year to replace those who can no longer donate—due to health reasons or age.
The DOCK by Crestyl complex is proud to join the Good Deed in Blood initiative, launched on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Giving Tuesday in the Czech Republic by the Association of Social Responsibility in collaboration with the Czech Ministry of Health.
When and where you can donate
On November 11 and 12, a donation site will open at the Libeň DOCK complex in partnership with AGEL Transfusion Service.
Every donor who registers and gives blood will receive, on top of the usual rewards, a 300 CZK voucher to enjoy at one of the local cafés—OMG!, The Miners or Light Roast Coffee.

- On the registration page (only in Czech), click "Vytvořit účet".
- After registering and logging in, select AGEL Transfúzní služba.
- Then choose "Mobilní odběr", select Praha, and pick the time that works best for you.
Since the medical forms are in Czech, English-speaking colleagues must always be accompanied by someone who can translate the necessary information for them.
Slots for November 11 need to be filled first. Once full, slots for November 12 will open.
MISSED THE REGISTRATION?
The blood donation slots at DOCK filled up within just a few days – that’s amazing! If you didn’t manage to reserve a spot this time but still want to help, we have a simple solution for you: donate blood at your nearest donation center, for example at Hospital Královské Vinohrady.
Just donate blood by November 9 and send a photo from your donation or a confirmation of it to jan.kaspar@crestyl.com
Your donation will count towards our joint challenge, and you’ll also receive a voucher worth CZK 300 to enjoy at local cafés.
Wondering if you can donate?
You can become a blood or blood component donor if:
- you are healthy and aged 18–60, weighing at least 50 kg,
- you don’t take regular medications (except blood pressure medicine),
- you haven’t been sick in the last month, and haven’t taken any medications (except doctor-prescribed hormonal contraception),
- you don’t have a fever above 38°C,
- you haven’t been recently vaccinated, and haven’t had a tick attached.

How to prepare for your donation
24 hours before donation
- Drink plenty of unsweetened fluids (2–3 liters),
- Avoid fatty foods,
- Don’t drink alcohol.
On the day of donation
- Arrive well-rested,
- Have a light breakfast – e.g., dry bread or something light,
- Don’t smoke.
Don’t forget to bring
- A valid ID,
- Your Czech health insurance card.

The donation site is open on November 11 and 12 based on your registered time slot, directly from Menclova Street at DOCK in FIVE. Look for the window sticker "Máš to v sobě. Přijď darovat krev."
