Suburban camps

For the love of water! That is the main motto of summer suburban camps at the DOCK.

The main activities include yachting, rowing, and paddleboards. In unfavorable weather, we play party games and learn about safety around water.

Who are suburban yachting camps in Prague for?

The camps are intended for children and teenagers aged 7 to 14 years, ranging from beginners to competition yachters.

When and where do lessons take place?

In the DOCK MARINA CLUB. There are activities both on the water – yachting or paddleboard in windless conditions – and in the surrounding nature.

What is a day in a suburban camp like?

The day begins with a morning meeting at 8:30 a.m. The meeting is followed by the preparation of boats and departure toward the river. After the morning yachting practice block, everyone meets for lunch. Following a short break and a theory lesson, there is another on-water practice that ends at about five o'clock in the afternoon when the boats are packed up and a debriefing is carried out. Everyone heads back home at 6:00 p.m.

 Is any special equipment needed?

The DOCK MARINA CLUB provides trainees enrolled in yachting courses with a sailboat, a lifejacket, and a coach with an accompanying safety vessel. The only required items are appropriate clothes. A light waterproof jacket and pants and an extra pair of shoes (sneakers) will be sufficient. We recommend special yachting outfits for more experienced yachters.

How much does it cost?

The price is CZK 4,300, and it includes five days of yachting lessons on the Vltava in Prague, meals and beverages, and sailboat rental.
