DOCKINA FESTIVAL – AN AFTERNOON OF HEROES AND SURPRISES
Heroes aren’t just on the big screen. You can find them among neighbors,
colleagues, and friends. And in early September, they took center stage at DOCK
in Libeň.
The beginning of September in Libeň has traditionally belonged to the community festival DOCKina. This year, it carried the theme of heroes – both the comic book kind and the everyday ones among us.
“ We believe there’s a hero in each of us. That’s why, as performers at this year’s DOCKina, we invited not only artists but also people who work or live here,” explains Jan Kašpar, Community Manager at Crestyl, the company hosting the festival in its DOCK development.
Along the banks of the Libeň harbor, neighbors and visitors came together to enjoy great food from local businesses, spend a lively afternoon full of fun, and be surprised by an unusual program. The highlights included an acrobatic show, a vintage car exhibition, and a “hero workout” led by local employees and residents. And since no celebration of heroes would be complete without comic book legends, the evening closed with none other than Deadpool and Wolverine.
